The country’s 97 archaeological sites, monuments, and museums will remain open for the public to enjoy the brightest summer moon, and 48 of them will host events, mainly music concerts.
The Ministry of Culture and Sports has been successfully hosting the August Full Moon events since 2002, offering the public the opportunity to enjoy a summer evening under the light of the August Moon in its archaeological sites, monuments, and museums.
The overview of the 2018 events exceeded 100,000 visitors (against 74,970 visitors for 2017 and 63,795 for 2016) who flooded archaeological sites, monuments and museums across the country.
Access to all areas is free to the public.
